Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Community Midwife to join a dynamic team in the picturesque Lake District area. You will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality, women-centred maternity care. The position involves offering education, advice, and supervision throughout pregnancy, ensuring appropriate referrals when necessary. You will also be committed to ongoing learning and development.
Key responsibilities
- Work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team in the community.
- Maintain good relationships with team members to ensure safe care for women.
- Provide high quality women centred maternity care and effective leadership.
- Optimise teaching opportunities and give support to all grades of staff.
- Plan and direct activities to provide optimal standards of care.
- Provide appropriate education, care, advice, and supervision to women and their families throughout pregnancy.
Essential criteria
- Registered Midwife
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Evidence of clinical competence/to work autonomously within multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to make appropriate clinical decisions and prioritise care needs
- Committed to CPD of self and others
- Knowledge of research methodology
Desirable criteria
- Current driving licence
- 1st level degree in relevant field
