Role summary
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Fracture Clinic Department. The department sees both adult and paediatric patients with new injuries and for reviews, operating in a fast-paced environment. The role involves providing outpatient care to a diverse range of trauma, major trauma, elective orthopaedics, and plastic surgery patients. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team across two sites.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nursing Qualification
- Demonstrates effective IT skills
- Able to adapt to change and use own initiative.
- Working in the United Kingdom for at least 6 months with current NMC registration
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication.
- Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding.
- Flexibility - able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends where necessary. Willingness to support other areas within the Trust when appropriate.
- Friendly, calm and approachable. Non-judgemental approach to work.
- Ability to learn new skills
- Proof of continued professional development since registration

We have excellent clinical outcomes providing Orthopaedic services that can be brokeninto the following sub specialties: o Foot and ankle surgery o Hip surgery o Knee surgery o Shoulder and elbow surgery o Wrist and hand surgery o Children (paediatric) surgery The Fracture Clinic is part of the specialty of Trauma and Orthopaedics, our FractureClinic is forward facing providing outpatient care to Trauma and Orthopaedic patients.Care is provided to a very diverse range of patients including trauma, major trauma,elective Orthopaedics and plastic surgery patients. Our approach is multi-disciplinaryand no day is ever the same. We work closely with A&E, Theatres, inpatient wards andprimary care. The clinic works closely with the trauma nurse practitioners.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse with effectivecommunication skills to join our friendly team.
