Role summary
This is a permanent, 30-hours per week Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner post within the Havant & Petersfield CAMHS team. Key responsibilities
- Work in partnership with service users with complex mental health presentations, developing their care and recovery plans.
- Provide clinical interventions relevant to the care group, including education, care plans, and discharge planning.
- Work closely with carers, families, and partner agencies to facilitate care.
- Assess, plan, and implement care, and provide specialist advice and interventions.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and students and act as a mentor for students.
Essential criteria
- Current professional registration with an approved professional body (NMC, HCPC, Social Work England)
- Or evidence of having achieved and completed the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) KSA portfolio route to BABCP Accreditation with current accreditation of the BABCP).
- Evidence of continuous professional development

This is a 30 hours per week, permanent post based in the Havant & Petersfield CAMHS team. We are a warm and compassionate multi-disciplinary team who are united in the commitment to provide the highest quality care to the children, young people and families using our service.
HIOW CAMHS is currently undergoing an exciting transformation so that we are better able to meet the mental health needs of our communities going forward, and you will be an active part of this process. We follow a Stepped Care Model which includes Single Point of Access, Early Help, and Community Teams alongside the full range of specialist CAMHS services. We have well developed assessment and treatment pathways to ensure an evidence based and consistent service across CAMHS. You will have scope to develop your own areas of interest either in relation to specific presentations or therapy models.
