This role is for a highly motivated Ward Manager to lead Glasmor ward, a 15-bedded rehabilitation ward specializing in Elderly Care. Key responsibilities
- Manage Glasmor ward, a 15-bedded rehabilitation ward specialising in Elderly Care.
- Work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Offer support to families to ensure the best possible patient care.
- Provide supervision to junior staff as a qualified mentor.
- Initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working to facilitate developments in nursing practice.
- Lead and manage staff with clear guidelines and goals.
Essential criteria
- o 1 st Level Nurse
- o NMC Registration
- o Evidence of a Degree level qualification or working towards this within an agreed time frame.

- o Holds or is actively working towards a relevant Postgraduate Diploma, Diploma to be completed within an agreed timeframe.

Glasmor Ward is a 15 bedded rehabilitation ward specialising in Elderly Care. You will be working closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and offering support to families, which is a key role in ensuring the best possible care is given to the patients on this ward. Main duties of the job
This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and demonstration of evidence based clinical practice. The candidate should also be a qualified mentor with recognised mentor qualifications and a proven history of providing supervision to junior staff, be motivated and enthusiastic about your own professional development and open to undertaking further academic qualifications. You must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, motivated, hardworking and be able to use your own initiative whilst also having the ability to work under pressure.You must possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills and demonstrate a keen interest in Elderly Care and Deme
