Role summary
This is a leadership role for a dedicated and experienced Chief Audiologist within a dynamic paediatric audiology service. You will manage complex paediatric caseloads, contribute to service development, and collaborate with senior management to deliver high-quality care. The role involves advanced clinical practice, improving service pathways, and supporting workforce development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Perform the full range of advanced audiological assessments and interventions
- Lead specialist clinics for complex paediatric cases
- Develop areas of advanced practice within the team
- Take a lead role in a defined clinical specialism
- Support training and supervision of junior staff, students, and trainees
- Line management
- Contribute to service delivery planning, facility management, and quality improvement
Essential criteria
- BSc Audiology or Diploma in Audiology / HND MPPM with BAAT/BAA parts I and II or equivalent
- Registered with AHCS/HCPC or equivalent experience
- M level credits or equivalent
- Experience in Paediatric Audiology including experience of specialised assessments / rehabilitation e.g. BAHD, CROS aids, infant hearing aid fittings
- Paediatric hearing aid fitting
- Diagnostic OAE's
- Working in a multi professional / agency team
- Relevant Trust / department policies and procedures Child protection
- Knowledge and skills framework Paediatric rehabilitation
- QSM / NOAH data base
- Ability to facilitate communication with individuals who are deaf

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced person to join us as Chief Audiologist. This is a fantastic chance to take on a leadership position within a dynamic paediatric audiology service.

- A recognised qualification in Audiology (BSc, Diploma in Audiology, or HND MPPM with BAAT/BAA Parts I & II or equivalent)
- Registration with AHCS, HCPC, or equivalent experience
- Evidence of postgraduate (M-level) study or equivalent experience
- A background in paediatric audiology and complex case management
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
