Role summary
This role is for a dynamic and motivated Community Nursing Sister/Qualified District Nurse to manage a caseload aligned to residential homes within the Bedford area. You will support, coach, and develop individuals to deliver high-quality services, focusing on patient-centered care for adults over 18. The position requires excellent communication, time management, sound clinical knowledge, and a flexible approach to service development. You will work within an integrated Primary Care Hub in an Outstanding Trust.
Essential criteria
- Registered General Nurse
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice and up-to-date clinical skills
- Evidence of significant post registration nursing experience including community setting
- Post-registration qualification in a relevant clinical field
- Relevant teaching/mentorship qualification and evidence of teaching skills.
- Post-registration nursing experience, including community experience
Desirable criteria
- Specialist Practitioner Qualification
- Nurse Prescriber
- Other
- Current driving licence
- Ability to travel across sites and across Bedfordshire to meet patient needs and attend meetings, etc
- Evidence of and commitment to multi-professional working
- Understanding of the interface between primary and secondary care
- Comprehensive understanding of partnership working
- Ability to manage a caseload
- Literate in IT/Computer Skills
- Knowledge of the principles of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children
- Knowledge of the principles of health promotion and prevention of illness
- Good oral communication skills based on fluency on the English language
