Role summary
This role is for a Specialist Cardiac Radiographer responsible for leading and managing the Cardiac Radiographer team within the catheter lab. The post holder will oversee equipment, radiation protection, supplies, and procurement, as well as staff organisation. It involves substantial patient contact, supervisory duties, and teaching, ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective service. The role requires specialist knowledge in cardiology and radiology, contributing to the training and development of junior team members.
Essential criteria
- Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and evidence of registration with professional body .
- Appropriate post registration training to master's level or equivalent.
- Demonstrable expertise in the full range of skills within cardiac diagnostic radiology

- Wide knowledge of appropriate general cardiac conditions and their management

- Experience and evidence of engagement around equality, diversity and inclusion issues in relation to policy, service development and service delivery in respect of both services to users and the management of staff

Job summary
We are recruiting for a Specialist Cardiac Radiographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The successful applicant will be responsible for recruitment of staff, be responsible for team members appraisal's and line management of Cardiac Radiographer team within the catheter lab on a day to day basis.
The post holder will take the lead role within the Cardiac Catheter Lab and its organisation, particularly Equipment, Radiation Protection, supplies and procurement.
They will be responsible for organisation of staff on a daily basis, annual leave and sick leave in line with trust policy.
The post is clinical as well as administrative and will demand substantial patient contact as well as supervisory and teaching skills.

Main duties of the job
