Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Radiographer with a Postgraduate qualification in Chest or Musculoskeletal radiograph reporting. You will join a team of Reporting Radiographers in a fixed-term post until mid-June 2027. The position involves undertaking independent image interpretation and providing detailed written reports to referring clinicians to determine diagnoses.
Essential criteria
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Masters level qualification in MSK and/or Chest reporting.
- HCPC registration.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of further relevant study.
- Leadership training
- Post qualification experience of independent MSK and/or Chest reporting in an NHS Trust.
- Extensive experience in General Radiography.
- Experience PACS/Epic related systems.
- Experience of leadership.
- Demonstrable experience of running an area independently
- Evidence of CPD
- Experience of teaching
- NHS Experience
- Expert knowledge of anatomy and pathology associated with MSK / Chest reporting
- Knowledge of the National Optimal Lung Cancer Pathway (NOLCP) CXR only
- Sound knowledge of governance processes related to reporting
- Open to the acquisition of news skills and knowledge
- Good understanding and working knowledge of PACS and radiology systems
- Have a sound understanding of general X-ray anatomy, physics and safety
- Participation in audit processes related to reporting
- Understanding of audit in relation to service provision
- Experience in research
- Ability to work as an effective team leader
- Able to use initiative, organise and problem solve
- Able to identify own educational and development needs
- Computer literate
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Works in a calm and organised manner and mixes in well as part of a cohesive team
- Show initiative to work independently and be responsible to service needs
- Participates in tutorials for staff and students
- Good motivator and trainer
- Self-motivated/lead by example

Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and passionate Diagnostic Radiographer with Postgraduate qualification in Chest or Musculoskeletal radiograph reporting to join our team of Reporting Radiographers in a fixed term post until mid June 2027.
There is a full time (37.5 hpw) and a part time (22.5 hpw) position available.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake independent image interpretation in line with the defined Scope of Practice with the view to provide detailed written reports to the referring clinicians, to determine diagnosis where applicable.
