Role summary
This role provides administrative support for the undergraduate medical education programme, specifically focusing on psychiatry placements across North London Mental Health Partnership. The postholder will coordinate curriculum delivery, manage teaching materials, and act as a point of contact for student and staff queries. It requires excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure high-quality service delivery for medical students and staff.
Essential criteria
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience Experience of working within a large and complex organisation Experience of programme, course, placement or administrative coordination, including dealing with student/customer enquiries
Desirable criteria
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience Evidence of ongoing professional development Experience of working within Higher Education, Medical Education, the NHS or a clinical education environment

- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills Ability to use initiative, prioritise workload and work independently Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students, clinicians, academic staff and stakeholders Ability to work accurately, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, databases and digital systems Ability to learn new systems quickly and handle sensitive information confidentially

Job summary
The post will be providing administrative support to the undergraduate medical education (UGME) programme across North London Mental Health Partnership. This postholder will support a range of administrative functions in relation to the organisation of undergraduate psychiatry placements. The postholder must be able to provide high quality and innovative services to staff and students to underpin and enhance medical education and the medical student experience.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organisation and time management skills and will demonstrate a flexible approach to work. Previous experience in general administration is essential, and a background working in a similar environment would be advantageous.
