Role summary
Join a large, friendly Audiology Department at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust. This Senior Audiologist role involves autonomous practice in adult rehabilitation, complex hearing loss assessment, and paediatric audiology, including assessment and hearing aid fitting. The successful candidate will support junior team members and contribute to audit and service development within a quality-focused, UKAS accredited service.
Key responsibilities
- Autonomous practice within adult rehabilitation clinics
- Assessment of hearing loss in non-routine (complex) populations
- Fitting of hearing aids in non-routine (complex) populations
- Paediatric hearing assessment; including Play Audiometry and Visual Reinforcement Audiometry
- Autonomous practice within Paediatric hearing aid fitting and review clinics (> 4 years old)
- Support more junior members of the team, providing leadership and clinical oversight as needed
- Take an active role in audit and service development
Essential criteria
- BSc Audiology or equivalent qualifications
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- Significant experience as a Band 5 in Audiology is required.
- Excellent communication and patient handling skills
- Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focussed, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence
- Demonstrates understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Desirable criteria
- Registered with AHCS or HCPC

Job summary
Join our large, friendly team within the Audiology Department at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust and enjoy the variety of work that comes from being part of our large complex Audiology service. We have over 45 staff, made up of senior assistant audiologists, associate audiologists, audiologists, Clinical Scientists, hearing therapists and a newborn hearing screening team.
The department offers a complex adult rehabilitative service, tinnitus and hearing therapy services, newborn hearing screening programme, paediatric assessment and (re)hab service (0-18 years) and vestibular assessment and rehabilitation service at the main NNUH site and at Cromer Hospital. Domiciliary work is also undertaken.
Our department places an emphasis on quality and we are proud to have been one of the earliest Audiology sites to become UKAS accredited under the Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPs) accreditation scheme. Our Paediatric service is currently IQIPs accredited.
