Role summary
This is an exciting 6-month secondment or fixed-term opportunity for a Data Quality & Income Recovery Assistant Manager. The role involves supporting the Trust's data quality assurance and income optimisation agenda, with a focus on improving data accuracy, completeness, and reporting integrity. You will identify data quality issues, trends, and financial risks, working with various services to implement solutions and improve data capture. Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or minimum 4 years equivalent experience in healthcare information, finance, data management or related field.
- Knowledge of NHS data quality, information management aspects and / or income recovery processes in relation to data
- Evidence of continuous self development
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex information
- Experience working within NHS information, data quality, finance or performance
- Experience of analysing healthcare datasets and understanding if data processes
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of NHS data quality, information management aspects and / or income recovery processes in relation to data
- Experience of investigating and resolving data quality issues.
- Experience in service developments and pathways redesigns
- Line managing experience for at least 2 years including performance management
- Ability to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities
- Experience in producing summary findings reports, data reports, dashboards and presentations
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- EDI champion
- Knowledge or HRG, RTT, DQ Matrix KPIs & rules

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and analytical individual to join the Data Quality & Income Recovery Team as a Data Quality & Income Recovery Assistant Manager for a career break cover.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the Trust's data quality assurance and income optimisation agenda. Working closely with the Data Quality & Income Recovery leadership team, you will help drive improvements in data accuracy, completeness, and reporting integrity, ensuring the Trust receives appropriate reimbursement for the services it provides. Particular emphasis will be placed on improving outpatient procedure recording and elective admission data quality within the organisation, supporting both operational performance and income recovery.
You will provide specialist expertise in identifying data quality issues, emerging trends, and areas of financial risk. Through detailed analysis and investigation, you will work with services across the Trust to implement sustainable solutions that improve data capture at source, reduce errors, and strengthen compliance with NHS data st
