Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Respiratory Inreach team as a Specialist Nurse. The role involves managing and coordinating care for inpatients with respiratory conditions, particularly COPD and Asthma, within a multidisciplinary team. You will provide specialist advice, support discharge planning, and educate patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. The post holder will also contribute to service development, audit, and research.

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Respiratory Inreach team at University hospitals Plymouth. This full time post is at band 6.

The successful candidate will work within a broad MDT and provide specialist advice and coordinate the care of inpatients with respiratory conditions with a particular focus on COPD and Asthma.

  • To manage and co-ordinate care of inpatients with Respiratory conditions, with a focus on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease and asthma.
  • Work as part of Respiratory Inreach team, leading, teaching and delivering expert care.
  • Act as an expert resource within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to resource management.
