Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Community Rehabilitation Team in North Lincolnshire, Scunthorpe. The service focuses on providing intensive community rehabilitation for people living in North Lincolnshire, supporting them to achieve recovery goals and functional stability. The post holder will conduct assessments, interventions, and risk assessments, working within a multi-disciplinary team to improve patients' quality of life.
Essential criteria
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council.
- Practice Placement Educator Qualification
- Willingness to undertake post-graduate study relevant to service area
- Appropriate demonstrable post registration experience with demonstrable experience at senior level in mental health services for adults
- Supervisory responsibility for staff.
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experience of research and audit procedures.

- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

We have an exciting opportunity to join a new mental health community rehabilitation service for people living in North Lincolnshire and we are looking for enthusiastic and innovative professionals to help us embed this new 7-day service. The service will enable people to receive an intensive community rehabilitation service closer to home in their own community. We are transforming with the NHS Long Term Plan (2019) for Mental Health at the heart of our innovations.
The community rehabilitation service will consist of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency workforce, working collaboratively between Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) and North Lincolnshire Council to share skills and specialisms to support individuals and improve their quality of life.
