Role summary
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician to lead the operational management, governance, and strategic development of Homecare Medicines Services. The role involves ensuring safe, effective, and sustainable delivery of homecare medicines, working with various teams and external providers. You will oversee existing services, introduce new therapies, and ensure compliance with national standards. The postholder will also manage contracts, financial oversight, and lead quality improvement initiatives.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge and experience in Homecare.
- oExcellent working knowledge of current legislation, Department of Health guidelines and National Homecare Medicines Committee guidance concerning homecare services.
Desirable criteria
- oProven knowledge of financial / operational procedures and budget management
- City & Guilds BTEC or NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services OR MPharm
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
- Further clinical, research, leadership or management qualifications
- Aptitude & Abilities
- Good communication skills, written and verbal, with proven ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels.
