Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Radiographer to join the Plain Film Advancing Practice Team. The role involves providing day-to-day leadership for Radiographers and assistants, contributing to a 7-day working rota, and deputising for the Team Manager. Key responsibilities include undertaking radiographic procedures, training Radiographers in Fluoroscopy, and managing QA and audits. The successful candidate will also work as a Shift Coordinator and assist in student training.
Essential criteria
- Bsc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
- State Registration with HCPC
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- A sound knowledge of radiographic clinical practice
- Knowledge of current radiographic and wider healthcare issues
- Knowledge in evaluation of relevant advanced knowledge of QA and audit programmes
- Knowledge of current data protection legislation
- Ability to prioritise own workload as well as that of others
- Advanced skills with specific Radiology and Imaging applications

- Knowledge of advancing practice and currently practicing in work
- High level of manual dexterity and co-ordination
- Ability to establish and maintain reliable working relationships
- Information Technology Skills

Main duties of the job
To provide day to day leadership for Radiographers and assistants within plain film
To contribute to a 7 day working rota
