Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Community Nurse to join the Neighbourhood Teams in Pershore and Upton. The role involves being a role model for junior staff, managing caseloads with strong clinical skills, and delivering high-standard care to patients in their homes. You will provide optimal care, including end-of-life care, wound care, and urgent care response, while also supporting the teaching and learning of nursing students. This position offers a chance to develop your career and contribute to continual service improvement.

Essential criteria

  • High level of clinical knowledge and skill
  • Understanding of personal contribution to the achievement of organisational objectives within the business plan
  • Good knowledge of community services and care pathways
  • Good working knowledge of positive risk taking and effective risk management strategies
  • Registered Nurse (RN1)
  • Graduate Nursing Qualification at Academic Level 6 - or working towards.
  • Preceptorship training
  • Evidence of on-going continuing professional development

Desirable criteria

  • District Nursing Specialist Practitioner Qualification
  • Prescribing Qualification or willingness to undertake
  • Post graduate modules in Leadership
  • Practice educator
  • Significant post registration experience in a clinical setting - able to demonstrate transferability of experience to community setting
  • Experience of management of caseloads or wards and organisation of staff
  • Clinical audit/service improvement and development work
  • Experience of active participation in interdisciplinary team working
  • Transcribing medication training
  • Clinical audit/service improvement and development work

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Community Nurse to join the Neighbourhood Teams in Pershore and Upton.

We are looking for applicants with a passion for community nursing and delivering a high standard of care for patients. This role involves being a role model for junior members of the team and managing with a compassionate leadership style and a positive outlook to drive continual service improvement.

The successful applicant will have the ability to manage caseloads with evidence of strong clinical skills and decision making. This role will give you the rewarding opportunity to provide optimal care to patients in their own home and to develop your career to the next step. Shift patterns are between 07.30-18.30.

Due to the nature of the posts the applicant must be able to travel independently / have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes and hold a full UK driving license.
