Role summary
This role is for a Lead Patient Pathway Coordinator within the Gynaecology Division at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Key responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor and support junior staff within their Team ensuring high quality care is provided at all times.
- Liaise with staff at all levels, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Engage and communicate with patients on a daily basis regarding their care and next steps.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and manage changing priorities calmly.
- Utilise good working knowledge of MS software and data collection skills.
Essential criteria
- Good general education with GCSE or equivalent in English at grade C or above
- NVQ level 4 in Business Administration or Customer Care of equivalent.
- Experience of IT and Microsoft Office Systems
- Previously supervisory or line management experience
- Experience of dealing with customer complaints
- Knowledge of administrative systems and processes
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection principles
Desirable criteria
- ECDL
- Experience of patient administration work in an NHS or other healthcare setting.
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of NHS pathways
