Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join the Runnymede Neighbourhood Mental Health service, specifically within the Frailty, Later Life & Dementia community service. The role involves providing support and high-quality mental health nursing care to clients and their carers, focusing on those with severe mental health problems in later life or dementia. The nurse will manage a caseload, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions using evidence-based principles, and collaborate with the MDT and partner organizations. Key responsibilities

  • Maintain client confidentiality and work closely with external agencies.
  • Follow Trust and service policies and procedures.
  • Accurately record information and work safely and independently.
  • Support the team and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Undertake training and professional development, participating in performance reviews.
  • Maintain a good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities for both adults and children.

Essential criteria

  • NMC Registered RMHN
  • Recognized nursing qualification RMN or degree in appropriate subject, including the Foundation Nursing Degree or Psychology
  • Able To drive. Clean license.
  • Have a minimum 1 year Community experience working with people with mental health (can be pre- qualification).
  • Experience can be working in a relevant health, social care or voluntary sector setting

  • Any additional courses relevant to health and social care

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join our Runnymede Neighbourhood Mental Health service.

We are looking for a passionate nurse to join our Frailty, Later Life & Dementia community service who will focus on providing support and high-quality mental health nursing care for clients and their carers, targeting and prioritizing people with severe mental health problems in later life and or dementia.

You will manage a caseload of clients, and use evidence based/client centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions as part of the holistic approach. Excellent communication skills are essential, working alongside the MDT, working closely and collaborating effectively with all agencies and partner organizations involved in the care of our clients.

In return you will have a fulfilling and varied role within a friendly and supportive team. You will receive active management support and opportunities for personal and professional development.
