Role summary
This role is for an experienced and motivated Senior Data Quality Analyst within the Children and Families Mental Health Sub-Division. The analyst will ensure accurate capture, analysis, and reporting of service data to improve patient safety and experience. Key responsibilities include leading data collection, validation, and presentation for decision-making, and collating information for performance reporting. The successful candidate will drive improvements in data quality and information management processes, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Business Support Data Manager to maintain good data quality in line with NHS, Trust and local policies.
- Analyse, validate and produce reports for clinical and admin colleagues using a range of applications.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc data quality and performance reports, identifying trends, risks, and data quality issues.
- Undertake regular data quality audits and support initiatives to improve the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of Trust information.
- Use Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to support reporting and analysis and provide guidance to colleagues.
Essential criteria
- Educated to NVQ 4 in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification / significant proven experience
- GCSE English and Mathematics grade 4/C or equivalent
- Evidence of continued professional development relevant to this post.
- Experience in setting up databases / spreadsheets
- Experience in generating reports and extracting information from databases
- Excellent data entry and presentation skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear information
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
- Good knowledge of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems.
- Competent use of systems including Office/Outlook.
- Working to strict deadlines and under pressure.
- Being flexible and adaptable at work to meet competing priorities and varying situations.
Desirable criteria
- A recognised qualification in data management, analytics, or a related field
- Experience of EPR Systems
- Recent experience within an NHS environment

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Data Quality Analyst to join the Children and Families Mental Health Sub-Division. This pivotal role supports clinical teams and senior leaders by ensuring the accurate capture, analysis, and reporting of service data, helping to improve patient safety, patient experience, and the effective day-to-day operation of mental health services.
