Role summary
This permanent part-time Youth Worker position involves strengthening the front-line youth-work offer, focusing on engaging young people and families before clinical service attendance. You will build trusted relationships, help families understand and prepare for service involvement, and develop a holistic understanding of their needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a caseload, ensuring coordinated, person-centred support and advocating for young people's voices in their care decisions. The role requires a professionally qualified Youth Worker with relevant experience in safeguarding and working with diverse young people, including LGBTQ+ individuals.

Job summary
This is a permanent part-time position working 15 hours per week, working days will be Friday and one additional day to be agreed on appointment
Only applicants with a JNC recognised degree in Youth Work or a Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification will be considered.
The role will strengthen the service's front-line youth-work offer, with a particular focus on engaging young people and families before they attend the clinical service.
You will build trusted relationships, help young people and families understand and prepare for their involvement with the service, and develop a holistic understanding of their needs, strengths and priorities. This will include identifying services already involved in their care and considering any social, emotional or practical factors that may affect their engagement.
Working as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team, you will manage an allocated caseload and help ensure that young people and families receive coordinated, person-centred support throughout their care journey. You will advocate for the voice of young people and support them to participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their care.
