Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Nurse to join the UCLH/UCL Research & Development Agile Research Delivery Team. The role involves providing specialist research nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple specialties and delivering various phases of clinical research. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocols and governance, and will be responsible for patient recruitment and data collection. This position is ideal for individuals keen to develop their career in Clinical Research Nursing.

Desirable criteria
- Completed/working towards degree in the speciality or related fields
- Post registration nursing
- Clinical research experience
- Experience of formal/ informal teaching of patients and staff
- Experience in delivering evidence based-practice
- Experience of explaining complex concepts to patients in a clear and simplified manner
- Experience in study set-up (commercial and/or non-commercial)
- Experience of acting as a patient advocate
- Experience of phlebotomy, cannulation and management of central lines
- Experience in IMP administration
- Experience in caring of complex and acutely ill patients
- Knowledge of Trust research governance issues
- Experience working across a range of disease areas, including endocrine and metabolic & diabetes, neurology, gastroenterology, and others
- Experience working as a preceptor/facilitator

Do you want to provide exceptional care and be involved in providing state-of the art treatments to patients? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Nurse to become part of the Research & Development Agile Research Delivery Team at UCLH. The Research Nurse will provide exceptional specialist research nursing care to a wide variety of patients across multiple specialties (Neurology, Women's health, Paediatrics, Infectious disease, and many others) and deliver different phases of research across the trust. This includes phase 2b - phase 4 clinical trials as well as larger scale multicentre studies. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail. The successful candidate will need willingness to learn and an interest in working across a range of specialties at UCLH/UCL.
The post holder will be supported by Senior Research Team within the unit, and the role is ideal for highly motivated individuals who are keen to develop their career in Clinical Research Nursing/Clinical Trials.
