Role summary

This role involves coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, from creating vacancies and arranging interviews to managing pre-employment checks and onboarding. You will use the Trac recruitment system and provide excellent customer service to managers, candidates, and colleagues. The position requires resolving issues to ensure timely recruitment and adherence to NHS standards. It is a hybrid role, with initial office-based training followed by two days in the office and three days working from home.

Key responsibilities

  • Advertise vacancies accurately and effectively, ensuring roles are progressed within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with Recruiting Managers, Team Leaders, Finance and Human Resources colleagues to ensure job descriptions, person specifications and all recruitment documentation are complete and processed prior to advertisement.
  • Manage the shortlisting, interview and appointment process from start to finish, including offers of employment, contracts and pre-employment checks, supporting candidates through to their start date.
  • Administer the recruitment and selection process in line with the Trust's Recruitment and Selection Policy, ensuring NHS employment check standards are met while proactively resolving issues that could delay recruitment and onboarding.

Essential criteria

  • Good Standard of Education. NVQ3 or equivalent experience
  • Previous recruitment experience or an understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle (from vacancy creation to on-boarding)
  • Working within an office environment
  • Experience of working with office systems and procedures
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment

Desirable criteria

  • Working towards CPP
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience of computerised HR/ Recruitment systems

Every vacancy our recruitment team fills supports services across our trust, helping to ensure patients receive great care.

This is a busy and varied coordination role where you'll manage vacancies through our recruitment system, Trac, from start to finish. You'll create vacancies, arrange interviews, send offers, coordinate pre-employment checks and support candidates through onboarding, helping to ensure a smooth recruitment process and positive candidate experience.

You'll work closely with recruiting managers, candidates and colleagues across the Trust, providing excellent customer service and keeping recruitment activity on track. An important part of the role is resolving issues that could delay a candidate's start date, helping us meet our time-to-hire targets while ensuring NHS recruitment standards are maintained.

The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work your hours between 8am and 6pm.

For your first three months you'll be office-based for induction and training. After this, you'll move to our hybrid working model, spending two days in the office and three days working from home.
