Role summary
Join the Crisis Resolution Team in Worcestershire to deliver innovative crisis care. This role involves providing bespoke crisis interventions, telephone advice, signposting, and face-to-face acute care to individuals, families, and carers experiencing mental health crises. You will work a shift pattern including days and waking nights over a 7-day period, with travel across the county potentially required. The team prioritises staff wellbeing through supervision and reflective practice.
Essential criteria
- Manual handling of patients.
- Experience of working in a health or social care related environment.
- Experience of working with patients/service users with mental health needs.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in acute mental health settings including urgent care settings.
- Experience of supporting patients/services users over the phone.
- Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., A-level, NVQ3) in Health or Social Care or equivalent qualification or experience. Otherwise
- Relevant Level 2 qualification (e.g., GCSE, NVQ2) in care or equivalent qualification or experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 3 qualification on appointment to post.
- Ability and commitment to complete the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of starting the role.
- I understand that I will asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
- Additional Criteria
- I understand that the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship to work for this role, and employment on a time limited visa doesn't guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

Job summary
It is an
exciting time to join the Crisis Resolution Team as we embark on a new and
innovative way of delivering crisis care in Worcestershire.
We are
looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join us. We are a dynamic
and responsive team who strive to continuously develop and adapt to the needs
of individuals, their families and carers in Worcestershire providing
compassionate and trauma-informed care when they are at their most vulnerable.
The Crisis
Support Workers deliver a variety of care and support including bespoke crisis
interventions, telephone advice and signposting & face-to-face acute care.
The shift
pattern consists of days and waking nights over a 7-day period including bank
holidays, working 13 shifts over a 4-week period. The team is based in
Worcester, but travel across the county may be required and the post-holder is
responsible for ensuring adequate insurance for this purpose.
