Medicines Optimisation plays a key strategic commissioning role

improving the quality, safety, effectiveness and value of medicines, appliances

and nutrition products across the ICB. Working collaboratively across the

system, we commission to improve population health outcomes and reduce

unwarranted variation. Our Team focuses on medicines commissioning, medicines

safety, antimicrobial stewardship, population health and data, and targeted support

to primary care, helping to deliver local, regional and national healthcare

priorities.
