Role summary
This role involves supervising domestic cleaning staff within the DCHS Hotel Services/IFM Team, primarily based at Whitworth Hospital but with potential travel to other sites. You will manage daily operations, staff rotas, and ensure efficient service delivery for domestic and porter services. Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily domestic and porter services, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient delivery.
- Manage staff rotas, absences, salary returns, training, inductions, and appraisals.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational queries and maintain clear communication with staff.
- Oversee operational tasks such as waste and linen disposal, furniture moves, risk assessments, and contract monitoring.
- Manage stock control, including medical gases, and arrange servicing for vehicles and equipment.
Essential criteria
- CIEH Level 2 in Health & safety (formerly Basic Health & Safety) OR equivalent experience
- Experience of using Microsoft Office programme including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience of working within a similar environment Supervisory experience
- Good organisational Skills
- Ability to travel between sites on a frequent and varied basis.
Desirable criteria
- NVQ in related subject- cleaning support services, portering

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the DCHS Hotel Services/IFM Team in the role of IFM Supervisor.
You will be supervising Staff at Whitworth Hospital and Newholme Health Centre, Matlock, with your base primarily being at Whitworth Hospital although you may be required to work across other areas/sites to ensure continuity of service.
As the IFM Supervisor, you will become an active member of our team working closely with other disciplines and manage domestic cleaning staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member, who is keen to learn and to develop themselves. Previous experience and knowledge of working within a domestic environment is desirable.
