Role summary
This role involves providing holistic welfare support to the Armed Forces Community within the Trust's programme. Key responsibilities
- Provide welfare management expertise to the Armed Forces Community and ensure trust staff are briefed on responsibilities for identified patients.
- Communicate information on the delivery progress of the welfare spectrum.
- Provide scheduled highlight and exception reports into the programme, tracking patient pathways.
- Keep meticulous records and ensure timely data and reports, demonstrating return on investment.
- Organise and monitor welfare resources to ensure effective use against agreed programme objectives.
- Process referrals, correctly assessing welfare needs with professionalism, compassion, and sensitivity.
Essential criteria
- Previous Military or Armed Forces Community experience.
- Proven practical experience of setting up and maintaining effective and efficient workflow and administrative systems
- Previous experience, including exposure to dealing with a range of Welfare issues
- Previous demonstrable experience of data collection, presentation and report writing
- Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrable ability to prioritise workload and work methodically, efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrable communication and influencing skills with the ability to remain calm, effective and efficient during difficult situations.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience. GCSE or equivalent in maths and English

Job summary
The post-holder is responsible for providing holistic welfare support to ensure programme outputs are delivered effectively.
The post holder will take a lead on all specific welfare or aspects of the Armed Forces Programme.
Responsible for day-to-day delivery, and subsequent performance management, adjusting plans as required to ensure that risks and issues are mitigated across the welfare spectrum.
The post holder will work with clinicians and managers to ensure provision of the best possible staff and patient experience and service delivery.
