Role summary

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, which is expanding. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge, working collaboratively with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team. Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of Assessing and Mentorship qualification
  • Experience within an Emergency department / within a ward environment equivalent
  • Currently working in an acute ward environment within the NHS
  • Experience of supporting students/clinical support workers within the NHS
  • Evidence of good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Recognising / managing acutely unwell patients
  • Computer literacy
  • Phlebotomy, cannulation skills
  • MTS Triage Trained
  • Awareness of strategies for maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
  • Understanding of Trust policies including but not limited to IPC Standards, Uniform Policy, etc.
  • Understanding of current NHS issues and 4 hour performance
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion

Due to the expansion of our Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre.
