Role summary
This role involves supporting employers across Wales to enhance the health and wellbeing of their workforce through evidence-based approaches. The postholder will provide advice, guidance, and practical support to help create healthier working environments and embed sustainable wellbeing initiatives. It requires strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills to motivate and influence others. The role is part of the Healthy Working Wales team within the Health Improvement Division.
Essential criteria
- Educated to NVQ Level 4, Degree level (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline such as public health, health promotion, occupational health, wellbeing, organisational development, human resources, or a related field
- Experience of designing and delivering workshops, group facilitation and stakeholder engagement activities
- Experience of working with employers across sectors and building successful partnerships.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Public Health Wales as a Workplace Health Adviser within the Healthy Working Wales team, part of the Health Improvement Division.
This role offers an opportunity to support employers across Wales to improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce through evidence-based workplace health and wellbeing approaches. Working as part of a national team, the postholder will provide advice, guidance and practical support to employers to help them create healthier, happier working environments and embed sustainable wellbeing initiatives.
The ability and willingness to travel across Wales, including occasional overnight stays, is essential for this role.
The post can be based at any Public Health Wales office across Wales, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available in line with organisational policies.
