Role summary

This role is for a compassionate and motivated Senior Special School Nurse to provide expert clinical care and leadership within special schools. You will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing and evaluating specialised care programmes for children with complex health needs, including those with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. The position involves line managing junior nurses, providing specialist advice to other professionals, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote health and wellbeing.

Essential criteria

  • *BSc Nursing or RN in Child or Learning Disability Nursing and currently registered with NMC.
  • *Post registration, specialist training relevant to speciality.
  • *Teaching Qualification, e.g. ENB 998 or equivalent
  • *Practice assessor/supervisor
