Role summary
This role supports the Career Development and Apprenticeship Team in delivering and evaluating Care Certificate and Care Certificate Supervisor programmes. The practitioner will deliver training for level 2 and 3 healthcare apprenticeships, including teaching, assessing, and marking work. They will also support work experience programmes and provide pastoral care to candidates in practice, such as T levels and BTech students. The position requires recent acute clinical experience in a hospital setting and a foundation degree in health or equivalent teaching qualification.
Essential criteria
- Maths and English at GCSE GRADE C/4 or Level 2 Functional skills.
- Level 5 foundation degree in health or equivalent relevant teaching qualification.
- Teaching and assessing qualification for apprenticeships (TAQA)

- Care Certificate Supervisor or mentor
- Recent acute clinical experience within a hospital setting.
- Ability to teaching a skill
- Supervision in practice
- Clinical teaching experience

Job summary

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have up to date experience in a hospital setting delivering care. A foundation degree in health or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
They will have experience in delivering clinical education or have had a mentorship/ supervisory role in practice. They will be familiar with the Care Certificate induction and its standards and be able to teach new support staff on induction to the hospital, including resuscitation and vital signs.
