Role summary

This role involves working primarily with the Early Intervention team four days a week, focusing on completing physical health checks for patients. One day a week will be spent with the Bury Treatment team, administering Depot injections and working in Clozapine clinics. The post requires both clinic-based work in the community and visits to patients' homes, collaborating closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist, Team Manager, and care coordinators.

Essential criteria

  • NMC registered Nurse Associate with Foundation degree
  • GCSE's Grade c or above in Maths and English language / New GCSE grade 4-9 in Maths and English language
  • Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi disciplinary team
  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs seeking advice where appropriate

  • Experience of working within an Early intervention service
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing associate and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
  • In depth knowledge of Psychotropic medication , it's use and side effects and the need for the physical health monitoring around this.

  • Experience of undertaking physical health checks for patients and recording results appropriately
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
  • Ability to deal with routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact
