Role summary
This role is for a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist to lead a team within the Community Learning Disability Team. The post holder will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care for adults with learning disabilities who have communication, eating, and/or swallowing difficulties. Key responsibilities
- Assess, develop and implement Speech and Language Therapy treatment and management for adults with learning disabilities.
- Provide clinical support for team members, particularly for young people in transition with learning difficulties.
- Organise and prioritise own and others workload in the day to day allocation of work.
- Provide accurate records of information required by the Trust for audit purposes.
- Ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing and controlling risk.
- Work as part of an integrated community learning disability team, contributing to case management coordination.

The post holder will support their peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative. They will supervise pre-registration students.
