Role summary
This role involves overseeing the patient journey from referral to discharge within the CERU unit at Leamington Hospital. The administrator will manage referrals, liaise with patients, families, and external agencies to ensure smooth transitions. Key responsibilities include producing operational reports, maintaining office systems, and providing high-quality administrative support to the Patient Flow/Resettlement Team. The successful candidate needs strong IT and communication skills, with experience in a healthcare environment.
Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education (4 GCSE's or equivalent), including maths and English
- Diploma in administration practice or business management or equivalent knowledge
- Foundation degree in Health and social care or equivalent higher apprenticeship
- Specialist medical terminology qualification / knowledge
- Previous experience of working in a senior administrative role
- Previous experience of taking and transcribing formal minutes
- Experience working as part of a team
- Previous experience working with referrals, discharge & bed management

- Previous experience of working in the NHS
- Previous healthcare experience
- Previous experience in managing information and delivering reports supporting patient flow in a busy ward environment
- Ability to analyse data accurately and determine its inclusion
- Excellent IT skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including pivot tables

Job summary
We are looking for a Band 4 Patient Flow Administrator to oversee the Patient Journey from referral to point of discharge from the Unit.
CERU is based in The Leamington Hospital. You will be part of dynamic team of clinicians and administrative staff working across Allsopp, Chadwick and Feldon. The role is varied, interesting and includes: overseeing the referrals management process for the unit, liaising with patients and their families regarding the patient journey through specialist rehabilitation, and liaising with external agencies to ensure a smooth and timely discharge process.
The successful candidate needs to have competent IT skills, experience of working in a healthcare environment and will have excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
