An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 7 Advanced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our Integrated Diabetes Nursing Service, covering Basildon, Billericay, Brentwood, Wickford and Thurrock.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication skills who can work autonomously, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the wider Diabetes Service in supporting people with the complexities of diabetes management

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have:

A strong foundation of diabetes knowledge and experience in diabetes specialist care, ideally with at least two years' experience.

A postgraduate qualification in Diabetes or a minimum of five years' equivalent experience.

Experience in delivering patient structured education and teaching.

Good IT skills and an interest in developing knowledge and skills in diabetes technology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to continuing professional development.

The ability to work effectively across multiple locations and travel between the boroughs as required.
