Key responsibilities
- Perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of musculoskeletal patients with diverse presentations and complex needs, determining clinical diagnoses and developing individualised treatment programmes.
- Maintain clear and concise records of assessments, treatments, and patient progress.
- Participate in evidence-based audit projects to evaluate clinical practice and service performance, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of clinical protocols, pathways, and departmental procedures, ensuring they reflect current evidence and best practice.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery by sharing ideas and recommendations with senior physiotherapists and contributing to innovation initiatives.
- Participate in departmental meetings, service planning activities, and professional discussions, supporting effective communication and collaborative working.
Essential criteria
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist with a recognised Physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 18 months experience working in Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy at a senior level.
- Evidence of postgraduate MSK training and continued professional development.
- Experience of clinical assessment, treatment planning, and managing a varied MSK caseload.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, record-keeping skills, and commitment to patient-centred care.
