Role summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Assistant Service Manager to join Women's and Neonatal Services at North Middlesex University Hospital. The role supports Obstetrics, Maternity and Neonatal care, working closely with the Service Manager, Clinical Leads, Matrons, and multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will support service performance, patient access, workforce management, and administrative/operational functions. This position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the operational management and delivery of Women's and Neonatal Services, including Obstetrics, Maternity and Neonatal services.
  • Deputise for the Service Manager as required.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to administrative and operational teams.
  • Exercise initiative and prioritise conflicting work demands.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality care.
