Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic children's nurse to join the community children's nursing team in the London Borough of Newham. The team provides community-based care to children under 6 nursing pathways, supporting babies, children, and young people from pre-term to 19 years old with health needs in various community settings. Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic children's nurse to work within our children's community nursing team. We deliver (in person) community based care to children under 6 nursing pathways:
(1) Short term (wound care/IVABS); (2)Acute - Oncology, home oxygen therapy, pre term babies; (3) Long term conditions; (4) Complex disabilities; (5) Palliative; (6) End of Life care
Our team works across London Borough of Newham, supporting babies, children and young people, from pre term to 19yrs old, with health needs in the community settings (home, schools and clinics).
We are based within East London, and work as part of an Multidisciplinary team, including play, psychology, dietetics, as part of our community nursing service. We support professional development (including clinical skills within the role) and staff well being.
Main duties of the job
To manage a clinical caseload ensuring continued responsibility for the assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
To work across community children's nursing service (CCNS) nursing pathways.
To work in partnership with other community/ acute based teams, clients and services in the public, private, educational and voluntary sectors.
