Role summary

The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Biomedical Scientist with Microbiology experience. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team to deliver high-quality diagnostic services for patients across Coventry and Warwickshire. This role involves processing, analyzing, and interpreting clinical specimens to support the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases within a modern Microbiology laboratory.

Essential criteria

  • oBiomedical Science degree acceptable to the HCPC. oCurrent registration with HCPC. oEvidence of CPD. oCompletion of Generic Registration Portfolio.
  • oEvidence of recent laboratory experience. oProblem solving.

Desirable criteria

  • oWorking towards completion of post-registration discipline specific competence portfolio.
  • oDemonstrate a broad based knowledge in Pathology or in required discipline.
  • oBe able to speak, receive and issue instructions without risk of misunderstanding. oBe able to follow complex documents such as a standard operating procedure. oHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail. oIT and keyboard skills.
