Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced specialist practitioner to join the Warrington CYPMHS team, supporting the mental health of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Learning Disabilities (LD). You will lead multi-agency plans, deliver therapeutic interventions, and develop local care pathways. The role involves providing consultation to external organisations and contributing to service evaluation and training. This post requires an enhanced DBS check.
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent Core Professional qualification (evidence of study at degree level or higher)
- Evidence of CPD/Short courses in relation to LD/ASC
- Maintained registration with relevant professional body
Desirable criteria
- Clinical Examination and Diagnostics (or working towards)
- First line management qualification
- LD/ASC Qualification
- Evidence of PBS Training
- Experience of management and clinical leadership
- Experience of successful multi-agency working
- Evidence of influencing, motivating and negotiating with others to achieve change in relation to care
- Evidence of being able to communicate complex, sensitive information and advice on healthcare toCYP and Families/Carers and colleagues
- Awareness of factors that contribute to good health and the importance of promoting these in line with organisational public health policy, inclusive of annual health checks.
- Experience of having made reasonable adjustments to support care delivery
- Experience of delivering education and training programmes in specialist area (LD/ASC)
- IT literate
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse workload
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and analyse complex data
- Risk assessment skills
- Ability to network with multidisciplinary colleagues

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Warrington CYPMHS team (child and adolescent mental health services) for an experienced/skilled and passionate specialist practitioner to support the mental health of children and young people with ASC / LD.
As a specialist practitioner you will be responsible for leading multi-agency plans to support CYP.
You will deliver therapeutic intervention to meet the needs of CYP and complete appropriate safety plans.
As a specialist mental health practitioner you will be key in developing and supporting local pathways of care and support and evaluation of services and training to the wider system.
You will also offer consultation this includes working with CSC, Education and third sector organisations and is a very important aspect to our work.
