Role summary

This role is for a dedicated and compassionate Community Nurse Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team. You will work with adults experiencing eating disorders within a specialist Community Eating Disorder Service. Responsibilities include managing a complex caseload, delivering high-quality clinical services, and providing therapeutic interventions. The role involves care coordination and working alongside other team members to support therapeutic groups.

Key responsibilities

  • Work in an identified adult community eating disorder pathway.
  • Deliver a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families.
  • Manage a caseload and provide care coordination.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions in accordance with agreed care plans.
  • Take responsibility for the management of a complex caseload, including specialist assessment and care planning.
  • Assess patient's individual care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • Registration with NMC
  • Experience of working with adults with an Eating Disorder
  • Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services and have complex mental health needs.

Desirable criteria

  • Psychological intervention Qualification including EMDR, CBT-ED.CBT - E. CBT -T, Family Interventions, CAT, DBT
  • Experience of working in community setting and making decisions autonomously

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Community Nurse Practitioner to become part of our supportive multidisciplinary team, working with adults experiencing eating disorders within our specialist Community Eating Disorder Service.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Working in an identified adult community eating disorder pathway.Delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families.
  • Managing a caseload.
  • Care coordination of an identified caseload with access to regular and robust supervision.
  • Delivering therapeutic interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing eating disorders.
