Role summary
This role involves managing the implementation of a new Totara Learning Management System (LMS) for the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) training program across three acute NHS Trusts in Norfolk and Waveney. The successful candidate will lead system configuration, data management, audience setup, and reporting, supporting training for approximately 18,000 staff. It's a pivotal role in a high-profile digital transformation, offering the chance to shape digital learning access and engage with a collaborative team. The position is fixed-term for 10 months.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on system configuration, data management, audience setup and reporting for the new Totara LMS.
- Manage a small team of LMS Administrators.
- Act as the key liaison with the system supplier during the implementation window.
- Support the delivery of EPR training to approximately 18,000 substantive staff and 4,000 bank/agency workers.
- Contribute to shaping the rollout of a brand-new LMS and influencing digital learning engagement.
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Experience of administering and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Totara or similar, used by a wide user base
- Experience working within a training or education team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable criteria
- Experience of system training or digital learning tools
- Experience of supervising or line managing staff, including task delegation and performance support
- Ability to provide clear direction, support and day-to-day oversight to a small team
