Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join the Coventry Community Neuro and Stroke Rehab Services (CINSS) interdisciplinary team. The service supports timely discharge of patients with neurological conditions, both stroke and non-stroke, providing patient-centred, goal-focused rehabilitation in the community. The post offers opportunities to consolidate and develop neurological and wider clinical skills, participate in quality improvement projects, and work closely with other therapists. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, dedicated team player motivated by meaningful, holistic rehabilitation.
Essential criteria
- oGrad Dip/BSc Speech & Language Therapy oHCPC Registration* oEvidence of personal development oEvidence of post-graduate education
Desirable criteria
- oRCSLT membership oSpecial Interest Group Member in related subject
- oSignificant post graduate clinical experience in the United Kingdom with good basic training/post graduate rotations (or within a community/intermediate care setting) oEvidence of skills and experience to treat Dysphagia oAware of health and safety requirements oEvidence of personal development portfolio oEvidence of working in a multidisciplinary team oDemonstrates an understanding of clinical governance in relation to Speech and Language Therapy oExperience of working with patients with Communication needs
- oConsiderable post-graduate experience in Brain Injury / Neurological Rehabilitation oExperience of assisting in audit or research oExperience of working in a community environment oExperience of supervising staff
- oGood written communication oGood verbal communication oOrganisational Skills

The Coventry Community Neuro and Stroke Rehab Services (CINSS) are looking for a highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join their interdisciplinary team.
The service is a community based interdisciplinary therapy team, who support the timely discharge of patients from hospital. These patients have ongoing rehabilitation or neuro management needs following a new or worsening presentation of a neurological condition, both stroke, and non-stroke.
The teams work collaboratively with acute services, rehab and community networks and third sector services to deliver a patient centred; goal focused approach to rehabilitation. Our team is an integral part of the stroke pathway, in-reaching into both stroke and in-patient rehab settings.
This post will offer you the opportunity to consolidate and develop neurological and wider clinical skills, as well as giving you the opportunity to be part of quality improvement projects and service developments, working closely with other Speech and Language Therapists and the wider team.
