Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Sonographer to manage and coordinate staff within Pregnancy Advisory and Integrated Sexual Health services, ensuring high-quality service delivery across clinical sites. The post holder will work alongside the Senior Nurse, providing leadership and performing obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound scans. They will independently carry out assessments, counselling, and ultrasound examinations, providing diagnostic reports. The role also involves training staff and taking responsibility for the running of TOP services and Integrated Sexual/Women's health clinics.
Essential criteria
- Diploma in family planning in clinical practice, evidence of CPD in area of speciality
- Educated to masters level
- Achieved post graduate masters USS course
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge & understanding of local & national policies & guidelines
- Qualified to fit implants & coils
- Non Medial prescribing qualification
- In-depth/extensive experience of working within relevant clinical setting
- Experience in more than one specialty in the field of Sexual Health
- Attributes

- Good Management Skills
- IT Skills: knowledge of relevant USS reporting packages
- Good communication / interpersonal skills
- Team working / independent working

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Sonographer to manage the co-ordination of Nurses, Health Care Support Workers & Administrative staff within Pregnancy Advisory and Integrated Sexual Health services; to ensure a high-quality service is delivered across clinical sites within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
The Post Holder will: work alongside the Senior Nurse, to ensure seamless care within the service provision across Cwm Taf Morgannwg, and will be a Clinical Nurse Specialist providing leadership for the Pregnancy Advisory service and Integrated Sexual Health Service alongside / in the absence of the Lead nurse, and will perform obstetric & gynaecology ultrasound scans in accordance with the protocols and guidelines set out by the R.C.O.G, BMUS and Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.

Independently carry out assessments, counselling, ultrasound examinations and provide diagnostic reports for women accessing the TOP service, and maintain associated records.
