Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and innovative clinical pharmacist to work in mental health and learning disabilities across East Sussex, based at a new hospital. The post holder will provide clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines. Essential criteria
- Degree in Pharmacy from British University or recognised equivalent
- GPhC registration

- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice
- Knowledge, Training and Experience
- Experience of working in clinical pharmacy practice
- Experience in carrying out Medicines Information queries, for both verbal and written specialist advice

We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, skilled clinical pharmacist to work as a core member of in-patient and community teams across East Sussex, being based at our new hospital.

You should have an interest in working within a specialist mental health service, an understanding of the medicines used and patients we care for.
The post holder will be supported to undertake further accreditation and training as appropriate, and there are many opportunities to develop the role and service to in-patient wards.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive pharmacy team which is highly regarded in the Trust. This role represents a great opportunity to start or continue a career in mental health and can lead to future senior roles.
The pharmacy leadership team is committed to education and training of the pharmacy workforce and will provide access to external training (including the introductory College of Mental Health Pharmacy Psych 1 and Psych 2 programme).
