Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Band 6 Specialist Nurse inInflammatory Dermatology to join our established dermatology team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with inflammatory skin conditions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the assessment, management, and ongoing support of patients with conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, acne and other inflammatory dermatoses. Working closely with dermatology consultants, nurse consultants, pharmacists, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of specialist clinics, patient education, treatment monitoring, and biologic therapies. The post holder will be responsible for leading the phototherapy service, overseeing patient pathways within the phototherapy unit, supporting staff, and contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives. This is not a training post.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage the smooth running of the phototherapy service
  • Provide a nurse led clinic service proposing appropriate treatment based on clinical history and providing a follow up service monitoring treatment efficacy within established protocols
