Role summary
Join a dynamic School Nursing team to make a positive impact on children and families. This role involves developing, leading, and delivering services for children across various settings, focusing on public health and the Healthy Child Programme. You will manage a safeguarding caseload and provide line management within the team. The position offers a comprehensive induction, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Nursing Degree
- Experience of working with Families and Children
- Experience of delivering Public Health messages and health promotion
- Knowledge of the Public Health, Social Care and Education agenda
Desirable criteria
- RSCN/RN (Child Branch)
- Evidence of post qualification study and professional development
- Community experience
- Skills and Abilities
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Good awareness of the role of the School Nursing Service
- Ability to work flexibly and under pressure
- Ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrate the understanding of team working
- Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
- Relevant post registration studies
- Ability to work within a changing environment
- Full UK driving license with willingness to use own car for work purposes
- Ability to manage own diary
