Role summary
Join Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust's dynamic Radiographer-led reporting service as a Reporting Radiographer. This role involves advanced radiographic procedures, independent plain film reporting, and contributing to a seven-day service. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, specialist-trained, and flexible, with a passion for teaching and continuous professional learning. You will work in a state-of-the-art reporting hub and may be required to rotate across multiple sites.
Essential criteria
- Diploma of College of Radiographers or BSc in Radiography or Equivalent
- HCPC Registered
- Postgraduate Qualification in Radiographic Reporting
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
- Master level qualification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised
- Able to manage a clinical workload and meet deadlines
- Able to communicate learned skills to junior staff
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage complex clinical situations
- Evidence of supervisory skills
- Computer literate
- Interest in teaching
- Experience supplemented by postgraduate course(s)
- Extensive experience post-graduation
- Experience of independent plain film reporting
- Experience of undertaking audit

- Able to recognise and respond sensitively and appropriately to individual patients needs

The job advert is looking for a dynamic professional to join our excellent reporting team. the applicant should have a subspecialty interest in chest and/or MSK reporting though other areas may be considered.
DGT has developed a state of the art reporting hub that has been specifically designed for reporting clinicians with ergonomics and minimum disruptions for the optimal reporting environment.
DGT also has a well developed and mature home reporting strategy with equality between medical and non medical reporting groups.
