Role summary
This role is for a Clinical Procurement Specialist within the Procurement Department. The post holder will work with the Clinical Procurement team to deliver value and cost improvement in commercial contracts, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Procurement Specialist within the Procurement Department at our Trust.
The post
holder will be part of the Clinical Procurement team, embedded in the Strategic
Procurement team who undertake a pivotal role in delivering significant value
and cost improvement in a creative, strategic and innovative way relating to
commercial income and expenditure contracts in order to assist the Trust and
wider Foundation Group in meeting its financial targets and objectives,
alongside safe and effective patient care delivery. ****
Main duties of the job
Main duties consist of working with the procurement team, nurses and other clinical staff to identify products where quality can be maintained or enhanced and costs can be reduced in line with the model hospital, productivity and efficiency.
Working with the Clinical Procurement Nurse Lead, you will support the delivery of specified clinical procurement projects, within agreed timelines,requiring the specialist knowledge and skills provided through professional registration, either in nursing/ midwifery or other qualified health care professionals.
