Role summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to specialise in Trauma & Orthopaedics at Weston General Hospital. You will work across both trauma and elective pathways, developing your skills and expertise in this clinical area. Essential criteria

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Health Professions Council registered
  • Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities - 1
  • A variety of experience in core areas, as postgraduate physiotherapist i.e. care of the elderly, musculoskeletal, respiratory & neurological, dealing with a wide range of patients with differing needs
  • Ability to effectively perform patient assessments & interventions, including manual therapy & therapeutic handling
  • Demonstrate Assessment, Analytical & Reflective skills across a diverse patient group
  • Effective communication skills both verbal & written
  • Experience of working within trauma and orthopaedic pathways as a Band 6 (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities - 2
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to plan, prioritise & delegate
  • Ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure
  • Ability to cope in a stressful environment undertaking moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities
  • Competent IT Skills
  • Knowledge of clinical Governance & its application to Physiotherapy
  • Ability to effect & manage change
  • Leadership Skills
  • Contributing to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants
  • Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team
  • Clinical Supervision of students and assistant staff
