Role summary

This role is for a Band 4 Civilian Dental Nurse within Defence Primary Healthcare, focusing on providing clinical and administrative support for dental care. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with consideration for flexible working. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing force generation and operational capability by minimising dental morbidity.

Essential criteria

  • National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) Certificate or National Vocational Qualification in Oral Healthcare Dental Nursing Level 3.
  • Current full General Dental Council registration, with no conditions. If not currently held, you will have to obtain this prior to commencing in post.

  • Evidence of indemnity cover for general dental practice, (candidates are strongly encouraged to have personal professional indemnity).
  • Evidence of currency with GDC Continued Professional Development requirements.
  • Be prepared to contribute to the development of staff skills and knowledge.
  • Confidence in using Information Technology.
  • Prepared to cover out of hours dental duties when required.
  • Registrations & Memberships
  • Please provide your membership registration number for the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Please state if you are nearing completion of your qualification and understand you will have to obtain GDC membership prior to starting in post.
  • Ensure you include details on any current, spent or impending restrictions to practice.
